Homeowners with insurance deadlines are looking for you.

A homeowner who has just been non-renewed is not price-shopping a landscaping job. They have a written list from their insurer, a deadline on it, and a reason to hire this month. We send you their request, their county, and what the insurer asked for. No monthly fee — you pay per lead, and your first two are free.

Why this work is different

Wildfire mitigation leads behave unlike general landscaping or remodeling leads. Three things drive that:

Deadline-driven

Non-renewal notices carry statutory deadlines — 60 days in Washington, 75 in California. The homeowner cannot postpone to next spring.

Scope pre-written

The insurer already told them what to fix. You are quoting a defined list, not selling a vision.

Repeat maintenance

Defensible space grows back. Annual upkeep typically runs 30–50% of the original job.

How leads reach you

  1. You apply and we verify. We check your license or registration against the state or local authority and confirm you carry general liability insurance. Usually two business days.
  2. You tell us your service area. Counties and towns you will actually drive to, plus the trades you perform. This is what we match against — be specific.
  3. A homeowner submits a request. It includes their property address, what their insurer listed, their deadline, and their lot size.
  4. We send it to up to three contractors, including you if your trade and county match. You contact the homeowner directly.
  5. You quote and close it yourself. The contract, price, schedule, and warranty are between you and the homeowner. We are not a party to it.

Matching is done by hand right now, by a person reading each request against contractor service areas. That is deliberate at this stage — it means a lead that is a near-miss on county but a strong fit on trade still reaches someone who can help, instead of being dropped by a filter.

What it costs

ItemCost
Monthly membershipNone
Your first two leadsFree
Each lead after thatFlat per-lead fee, billed monthly
Commission on the jobNone — we never take a percentage of your contract
ExclusivityEach request goes to a maximum of three contractors

The fee is flat per lead, not per dollar of work, so a $12,000 acre-plus fuels reduction costs you the same to receive as an $800 Zone 0 clearing. We tell homeowners plainly that contractors pay us a referral fee and that our matches are commercial referrals rather than impartial recommendations — that disclosure is on every page they see.

What we verify

Required of everyone

  • Active license or registration with the applicable state board — or local jurisdiction in Colorado, which has no statewide license
  • General liability insurance, certificate on file
  • Ability to provide dated before-and-after photo documentation organized by zone

Verified tier

Hold any one of these and you are listed as Verified and shown first to homeowners in your county:

  • NFPA Certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialist
  • Living With Fire contractor course completion
  • Wildfire Partners contractor list (Boulder County)
  • Documented IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home projects
  • ISA Certified Arborist, for tree-work leads

Your contractor profile

Every contractor in the network gets a profile page on this site, built from the details you submit. You fill in the form once; we format and publish the page. Homeowners reach it from your referral link and from state pages covering your counties.

What a homeowner sees

  • Your business bio, in your own words
  • Counties and towns you serve, and the trades you perform
  • License number and issuing authority, so they can verify it themselves
  • Years in business and certifications held, with Verified status where it applies
  • Before-and-after project photos organized by zone
  • Star rating and written reviews from homeowners you have actually worked for

What stays protected

Your phone number, email, and direct booking details are not published on your profile. A homeowner cannot call you off the page and skip the network.

Instead they submit a request. You are notified, you review the job, and the connection opens only once you accept the referral and the referral fee is settled. If you pass on a lead, your details are never released for it.

Applications are open continuously — apply whenever you are ready, not on a signup window. Your profile is built from what you submit and goes live once your license checks out. Reviews and star ratings appear on your page as homeowners you have worked for write them. We will not publish invented reviews to fill the space: fabricated testimonials are illegal under the FTC rule in force since 2024, and a homeowner who spots one stops believing anything else on the site.

Questions contractors ask

Do I need a wildfire-specific license?

No. There is no wildfire mitigation contractor license in any of the four states. The work falls under licenses you likely already hold — CCB or LCB in Oregon, CSLB C-27 or D-49 in California, L&I registration in Washington, local registration in Colorado. What separates contractors here is knowing the standard insurers inspect against.

How many contractors get the same lead?

A maximum of three, matched on trade and county. We do not blast requests to everyone in the state.

What if a lead is junk?

Tell us. A request with a bad phone number, a property outside your area, or a homeowner who never responds should not be billed. We would rather credit a bad lead than lose a contractor over one.

Can I pick which leads I take?

Yes. You see the job details before your contact information is released. Pass on anything that does not fit — declining costs you nothing and does not affect future matches.

Do you take a cut of the job?

No. The fee is flat per lead. Whether the job is $800 or $18,000, we are paid the same, and we never see your contract.

I am a landscaper, not a wildfire specialist. Should I apply?

Yes, if your license covers the scope — in most states it does. Zone 0 clearing, vegetation thinning, and hazard tree work are the bulk of the demand, and they are work you already do. Read the IBHS checklist so you can quote to a standard the insurer will recognize.

Can I apply now, or should I wait?

Apply now. There is no signup window and no waiting list — applications are reviewed as they arrive. Once your license is verified your profile is built and published, and you are eligible for leads in your counties immediately. Star ratings and reviews accumulate on your page as you complete jobs.
